Spike Movies Redesign
on-air graphics package design / toolkit / promo blitz

I redesigned on-air graphics for promos for movies on Spike, to differentiate the cinematic content from thelook of the reality and competition show promos that Spike viewers had grown familiar with. There were a number of challenges involved, including creating a look that would allow us to re-tag something like 150 spots without necessitating new edits, and a look that would allow editors to create 5-second spots using iconic scenes with persistent tag information that was prominent, but didn’t obscure the key visuals in the scene being used. I LOVE those kinds of limitations/hurdles to work through. We created about 180 spots over the course of a month once the design/animation were approved. I am still super proud of this whole project.
