Spike TV Brand Refresh Launch

It seems like every time we went through a brand refresh, I was the lucky art director assigned to the first properties to utilize the new looks, new rules, etc. When Spike TV became just Spike, and updated the brand to move away from the “get more action” dude-friendly niche, I was doing Lip Sync Battle and Movies on Spike... double whammy! We worked with multiple agencies on the different facets of the rebrand, a complex process, really demanding and really rewarding. We saw a million logos, lots of really good ones, and when we saw the first pass of what would become the final, new “SPIKE” logo, almost everyone was like “bingo” job done. I still love that logo.
